a kitchen preview

I had certainly hoped to have the kitchen finished by now, but no such luck. We can't decide on a paint color for the wall and need to figure out a backsplash too. In the meantime here are a few shots.

As you can tell it was an all hands on deck kind of project. 

A few hands were more helpful than others.

And I promise...there will be pics of the finished project soon enough.

River

Last week I had my first solo outing since baby came along. A little teary (sniff, sniff), I left my two boys all alone and headed for the river - for work.

It had been well over a year since my last river trip (a pregnant belly and a life jacket don't really work very well together) and I enjoyed every minute of it.  The only disappointment was that I was hoping for long luxurious hours of sleep but mother nature had other plans  that included a full moon, loud frogs,  and early morning song birds. 

While it is always fun on the river I was certainly glad to come home to my boys - both of who did fabulously in my absence.

So, rewind a bit with me to Nana G's visit over Memorial Day weekend.

we attended Sunday morning mass at San Xavier Mission, something I have always wanted to do

and checked out the old mining equipment in Jerome.

Baby Bejos has a new ride

The new ride made its all-terrain premiere during a disc golf outing where it doubled as a beer cart. Life doesn't get better than this!

A Momentary Lack in Posting

What can I say, life has been busy. We have had a handful of visitors the last few weeks and even with all my best intentions I have neglected to document them here. We've been having too much fun!

we went to Tucson with Nana G and visited our wedding site,

played with Nana G in the sandbox as much as possible,

went to a cool old high school turned art studio in Jerome,

 

learned to drive with papa bejos,

and played pass-the-baby with sistah bejos and her love.
