right now

We expected rain all day today. We got a little snow.
This was about an hour ago.

working from home

When I am working from home my laptop makes it easy to choose the very best spot for that particular day. This day, working from home part-time, the front yard was the very best spot.

Outdoor Play

A few weekends ago I made bejos boy a stone pathway into his new favorite spot in the yard. Tucked in a corner under two evergreens and an aspen, this favorite spot is where he hides with Cooper

This weekend we inherited a sand & water table that we set up while bejos boy napped. Rubbing his sleepy eyes upon awaking he spotted his improved play corner and hasn't abandoned it yet. It will be perfect once those aspens leaf out later this month. A hidden spot all his own.

Earth Day

It wasn't that long ago that we had snow covering the ground, but not this weekend. Highs in the 70s and lots and lots of sunshine. Our entire weekend was spent outdoors digging in the dirt, getting a whole lot of things crossed off our to-do lists, and enjoying the tease of a summer to come.

 I made a soaker hose!

 started my beans & peas

guess who had two baths in just one day?

egg hunting

I like traditions, the small things that one counts on happening when holidays come around. I don't remember doing egg hunts on Easter, per say, but I like that bejos boy will have this tradition to look forward to .

We had another snow storm this weekend.
Many inches.
I mean really??
It's April already.
My garden soil has been turned.
I have seeds sprouting in the sunroom.
We began using our compost barrel again.
It did prompt a cold weather meal.

In true AZ weather patterns the snow is almost completely gone thanks to our 60-plus temps. We'll just call this a massive watering.

Saved!

I was able to recover my pics from my BFF's wedding and trip to Denver. Yay! Granted, they aren't the best pics around as in the chaos of a busy week and packing us all up I forgot my DSLR camera. Ugh! I had my little digital camera which is just fine, but not as good as the DSLR.
And apparently I didn't take any pictures during the reception or of the same-same things that my BFF and I had going on that day: tattoo, toenail polish and shoes.
We did take the photo I just don't know with which camera.

There are some good folks out there in the cyber world. Thanks to people like Carsten at http://www.bluem.net/en/mac/exif-untrasher/ who offers free/donation photo recovery software.

Traveling

We spent our weekend out of town for my BFF's wedding. My camera crapped out while trying to upload my pics to the computer (I'm working on a recovery strategy) so I don't have any pics of that to post yet....but I do have a few showing a few things we did in our down time with the bejos boy.

Play dates with lots of new friends and chickens.

The Denver Children's Museum. There was a room filled with bubble making, a kid-sized grocery store and he went straight for the choo-choos. Shocking.

And then we discovered the fire truck.
He is a wonderful travel partner
