Four!

Four years ago, in the very early morning hours, this little one made his entrance into the world.

Recasted

The eldest has once again tested the limits of our health insurance benefits.
A week ago he fell from a trampoline - while not actually trampolining, but while walking the perimeter of the trampoline, on the outside of the net.

An ER visit gave us almost the same results as last time with the exception of one little term.

Supracondylar humerus fracture, displaced.

The fix was not as simple.
This time it involved surgery and 2 pins in his elbow.

He weathered the experience like a champ, and now has to endure a few weeks of slow motion life while lugging around an oversized left arm, again.

Spring Break

Just in time for Spring Break the mercury rose and the layers were stripped off.
We headed north in search of warmer temps yet, and the beauty of southern Utah.

Our first stop was Horseshoe Bend.

And then we drove down a dirt road to explore.

The next day we checked out Toadstools.

Then we stopped to play in the Paria River. The name of this river may seem familiar because it is where Mr. Bejos and I were rescued from a backpacking trip during a freak flash flood in the fall of 2005. Our first helicopter ride.

Before we headed home we stretched our legs on the Hanging Garden hike. We attempted a fun "everyone jump when the timer goes off" shot.

Nailed it.

the last of the snow??

This was a few weeeks ago.
The last day of February.
We were tempted to put away the snow gear.
But we knew better.
And low and behold another snow day.

And yes, the Christmas garland is still up in February March.
