You've seen it before, but little did I know that it would weasel it's way into the Halloween territory

an item of longing
Every now and then (but more like every week) I find an item that I long after. Remember the story of the kitchen table? Darn you Pinterest and Apartment Therapy. Sometimes the feeling passes and I go without, but sometimes I just can't shake the want, convincing myself it is a need. Being cheap, I endure the search for the best bargain, which sometimes helps the longing to pass. This adorable, baby bejos sized, vintage chair is one of those items.
Many of you probably received an email to keep an eye out for this item at a garage sale, flea market, or antique store. And mr. bejos has endured many a trip into a store in the off chance that they have one of these little chairs.
The longing didn't pass. Not this time. I broke down. I bid on Ebay, aggressively, waiting until there were 10 seconds left, throwing in my very top bid of what I wanted to offer for this piece.
This little chair makes me happy, but more importantly it makes the baby bejos happy.
He has loved it since I lifted it unused out of it's box, it's original 1968 box. Score!
Is my search over you ask? Nope. I would love a pair of these chairs. So keep your eyes open and let me know if you score a little Cosco Go Seat.

craigslist find
I have been looking for the perfect kitchen table. For months.
I want a long, rustic, antique farm table but I have a small, tight little house.
I scoured Craigslist daily.
This 1939 charmer will do for now.
The details makes me happy.

baby bejos withdrawl?
I hear that baby bejos isn't getting enough face time here on kickenbejos.
We are having so much fun with this age. He mimics everything we do (for better or for worse), wants to be a part of everything we do, and is talking up a mumbled storm.

baby girl
Friends of our were generous enough to have a baby girl for whom I was tickled to make a girly, but not too girly, sweater for.
I love this pattern, even if I had to knit it twice. One strand of yarn wasn't enough so I pulled it all out and started over again with a double strand. Although it was time consuming it gave me the opportunity to correct a few of the mistakes that were woven into the original. The pattern is from More Last-Minute Knitted Gifts

there's a mouse in the house
Everyone says it. "They grow so fast" (babies, not mice).
In any given moment, and often during the same day, we look at baby bejos and say "he is so little" or "he's gotten so big!" This tends to happen when we see a new baby or get a load of too big hand-me-down clothes.
For Christmas, sister bejos gifted baby bejos a very cute pair of slippers that seemed HUGE at the time and were put away for when he got MUCH bigger - like years away. Then today, when putting away those 3T hand-me-downs, I re-discovered them in his "big boy" box of clothes.

Needless to say he loves them.
i love the little tails :)
sidenote: Baby bejos has a thing for slippers. This summer he was fascinated by Nana's pink fuzzies
