The Wedding: part 1

A simple farmhouse wedding takes a lot of work. 

Luckily there were lots of helpful hands, good friends, family and just enough little ones running about to invoke smiles and laugh.

for my birthday some girlfriends took me out last night for the last show of the season at the amphitheater

His birthday was last week too. We are a mere 50 years apart.
I can only hope to be rockin' out in 50 years.

Holy Hiatus!

I know, it has been a long time since I gave kickenbejos the attention I like to.
I was out of town once, and then again.
The second trip was a fun one though.
It had to do with my little sister and her promised one.
The pics have not yet made it to the computer, but they will.

When he's not with us

Baby bejos has a life all his own a few days a week.

The big 2

Stocking up for winter

 

We had friends visiting this Labor Day Weekend and while we did entertain them with the county fair and a date night out, we also took them into the woods. The lesson in this post is that even if you are guests at our house you may be forced to work. 

Just ask Mama and Papa who just about did all the physical labor in our kitchen facelift. And then there is the time that Papa helped me build our bed, reconstruct a busted stone wall, and install a motion detection light. And the time brother bejos helped hang the pot rack and replace my showerhead. And sister bejos has endured a few sewing projects and an ATW building session. Oh and then Auntie A helped a very pregnant me relocate my entire office into the sunroom.

Our doors are always open, but consider yourself warned...

the county fair

Besides parades I love a good county fair. 

Last year baby bejos was a wee little one who didn't mind the fair, but definitely didn't get to enjoy it like this year. 

There were animals to pet.

And so many things to point at.
