In a recent email conversation with my aunt I realized that I glossed over the "big life changes" comment I made a couple of weeks ago here. And while, as I suggested in the title, I am not usually a drama queen, I think I may have overstated the level of life changing changes that the decision will make. I am just not good with big changes to the normal routine. I have to warm up to ideas after torturing myself for a short period.
It all started a few weeks ago when I received an unexpected phone call from a local Montessori school that I have been flirting with ever since I moved to town. Out of the blue they offered me a teaching position. Thrilled, I was thrown into a 2 week period of tormenting over the decision of leaving a job I love for a teaching position I wanted. It's a good problem to have in the current state of US employment, and I didn't take that lightly.
Have I mentioned that I am a Libra? A blessing and a curse if you ask me. I can look at an issue/problem/situation/decision and see every single angle, pro and con. I am awful at making decisions - poor mr. bejos! After many, many pro/con lists and flip flopping with my decision multiple times from the moment I woke up to the moment I (finally) fell asleep I decided that I would take a leap of faith and enter the classroom again.
Come this fall I will say goodby to the incredible flexibility and travel that I have enjoyed with my current job and step into a much more set schedule. I expect to work very hard, as one does with a new job, and be very tired. I am quite worried about getting out the door in the morning. I have become too accustomed to working in my pajamas from home with very leisurely mornings. I suppose it is time to move on. Did I mention the real kicker that put us over the edge in choosing the teaching position? The school offered bejos boy a space in their very, very good toddler program.
So the overblown drama is over and I am looking forward, with conviction and excitement, to the changes for the bejos clan.

We have some visitors in town for the next couple of weeks.
Get used to these faces and expect the completion of a few projects.

red dye #40

It has been one hectic week around here contemplating major decisions for big changes in our lives, but more on that later. I had a great Mother's Day weekend of which I will soon post pics once I find a moment to get them downloaded.
In the meantime enjoy these pics of bejos boy loving the heck out of some seriously neon frosting!
