Vacation

Our week off this past week was well spent. While we had grander plans originally (we're talking about you Hawaii!) we decided for a location just a mere 6 hours away. And it did not disappoint. 

Rocky Point, aka Puerta Penesca, has cleaned up since my first camping trip south of the border here in the late 90s.

Super Moon

We broke from our regular routine this evening to travel to a field for the viewing of the super moon and lunar eclipse. 

We layed out a blanket, stayed up past bedtime, and howled at the moon.

Finding myself in a new place

Today I stand with both feet firmly planted on this side of 40. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it yet, but I'm not unhappy from where I stand. Although there are things I can (and do) complain about, I am living a very good life. 

Dirt

Sometimes I have to step back and just let them enjoy the dirt. We watched from a distance and saw the hands grow darker and darker....oh the fun they had . 

Fair

I only experienced the fair with my school this year (as I am gone this Labor Day weekend- more on that later). But it was a good time nonetheless. Pigs, rabbits and produce, no rides or fair food.
