Halloween 2015

Halloween costumes were a last minute affair in Casa Bejos this year. We had to be ready a week in advance for our annual pumpkin carving soirée (pics below!) but the eldest boy could not make up his mind about what he wanted to be.

A spider. 

A jellyfish.

A shark. 

A scorpion. (?!?) 

And then one night, after being tucked in bed he came out to announce that he decided he wanted to be a meat eater. 

A cheetah to be more precise. 

With just days to go this mama was not going to be able to pull off a knitted creation like years past. So, off to the store we went, the morning of our little get together. 

And where does one shop for cheetah print? Well the girls section of the store. Of course. Lucky for us the eldest is not yet bound by social gender stereotypes. He was happy as a clam to find so much cheetah print. The youngest one ended up a zebra by pure default. 

Why look, there's zebra print here too! 

The only bummer is that we didn't get a pic of us, mr and mrs, dressed as safari guides. 

Back to School: Fall 2015

Back to school night again.
Kindergarten lessons to start with.

Oh how the demonstration of these lessons made my heart swell with pride, both as a mama and as a teacher. Silly perhaps, but so very true. 

And then the Young Children's classroom.
