Ruins

I have been living in AZ for many, many years, and I have had the luxury of traveling to some amazing places in the southwest, both for pleasure and under the guise of "work". While there are still plenty more places to be checked off my AZ bucket list, I was pleasantly surprised this week to find a place that wasn't even on my radar. Our spring break field trip today brought us out to Palatki Ruins.

Mudding

We went out in the woods in search of puddles, which were few and far between. The one we found made the eldest realize that his boots had a leak. We did, however, find mud. And lots of it. A few slips and falls but mostly heavily caked boots that were almost too heavy to lift at times.  

The Newest Bejos

Despite all rational arguments we added a new family member this weekend. 

Meet Luna. 

She is sweet and, most important, incredibly tolerant of our two littlest Bejos boys. 

Here's to finding love everywhere you look. 

Spring?

It's a dangerous thing to be lulled into the feeling of springtime when you know just how likely it is that winter will make at least one more appearance. Even though that groundhog did predict an early spring, I still remain skeptical.

That being said, we threw caution to the wind today and broke out the bikes while the temperature hovered near 60(!) and the snow receded enough to free up some pavement. 

Saturday

Dunkin Donuts.

That means someone got a haircut. 

The little guy couldn't decide if he liked donuts or not. He wasn't happy that his didn't have frosting or sprinkles so he decided to transfer some onto his plain pastry. And then he took a bite that he promptly spit right back out. And I caught it all on film! 

Oh my this little one. 

Another snow day it is.
