Off my needles

A recent celebration of February birthdays, as in 6 of them, had me scrambling for a good gift idea. And then I realized that pink hats would fit the bill for each and every one of them.

100

100 days of school
I cannot believe how fast the school year is going.

The littlest one celebrated with his class by wearing his "100 buttons" shirt.

As if that weren't cause for celebration enough, he was also chosen to bring home the "All About Me" bag. He has been waiting weeks for his turn, coming home disappointed week after week as other friends were chosen even though "I was sitting so peacefully".
Friday evening he came home from school and packed his bag with all the things he holds dear these days; his glowing kitty, a geode, The Color Monster, and his cape. Both Saturday and Sunday morning we found him in his room, packed and ready to go to school. Monday could not come soon enough.

Returning

Time after time we return to our favorite spots. And each time, as little legs grow longer and stronger,  we discover new places. This time it could have been the Mardi Gras beads that provided the final power boost necessary to complete the hike. It certainly entertained the other hikers we passed along the trail. 

geodes

Mr. Bejos was in Tucson recently during the Gem and Mineral show, and he stocked up on Moroccan geodes. Paired with a Christmas gift of geodes from a friend, we had one fun morning with the sledgehammer.

Must mean it was haircut day.

A rather successful day too.
The little one still sat on my lap but he did not need mama to give "big hugs" - AKA.... full body restraint.  In fact there was full cooperation and chit chat with the stylist.
