Wrapping up 2017, part 4

The Bejos Clan hit the road to close out 2017.

Our ultimate destination, and last National Park of 2017.
Bryce Canyon National Park

Upon arriving we headed for the sunset location (along with every other tourist in the park - Ugh). It was a nice way to end a day of driving.

The next morning we geared up for a 4 mile hike of the Queen's Garden trail, with the Navajo Loop extension through Wall Street. A.Maze.Ing. These little guys are truly some of the best travel and trail companions anyone can wish for.

Wrapping up 2017, part 3

Taking the scenic route to Bryce Canyon National Park brought us through a striking pass, past Cedar Breaks, that had us in awe. You could have convinced us that we were in Colorado, not Utah.

Mr. Bejos had the forethought to pack the tripod, which, paired with the self-timer, gave us an opportunity to practiced self portraits. Bribery always comes into play...a few serious pics and then the silly poses.
Smile.
No, a real smile.
Look silly.
Jump.

 Wahoo!

Wrapping up 2017, part 2

One of the real reasons for our detour through Vegas was this art installation that I have been wanting to lay eyes on. We had hoped to fit it in this summer when we flew through Vegas, but time worked against us.
We expected that perhaps we might be one of only a few visitors to this site, but man oh man were we wrong. There were so many people there. It was hardly a small intimate viewing, and so hard to get shots without people. Nevertheless I could not stop taking photos, as you can tell.
