water
We have had a HOT summer thus far, so we are always in search of cooling water. Sometimes it is poolside and sometimes it is creekside.

the state of affairs
Just because I can't sit still for too long, I decided, upon waking my very first day of summer vacation, to remove all the kitchen cupboard doors. A light sanding, a coat of paint with a roller - oops I didn't like that. Another light sanding and an investment in a small craft paint sprayer and I was back in business.
And now, newly painted cabinets!
The best part is that when we did the same project 7 years ago I never quite got around to putting on all the teal faucet hardware to all the drawer pulls. But now....check and check.

School’s out!!
Woohoo!
Today was the very last day for these Bejos boys.
Mama still needs to report to work next week for two more days, but we'll let that thought float away.
Here's a glimpse back tot he first day of this school year.
Notice the same shirt...still in circulation.

summer grime
Summer is quickly approaching.
We are making our way through the week, the last week of school.
It isn't easy being the last school in town to still be in session.
There has been a significant lack of rain here in the west. It has turned our yard into a landing strip of dry dust that billows around the boys as they play.
I can't wait to join the pool again this weekend, simply to reduce the number of times that I have to clean a bathtub that looks like this!

Peter Pan
The biggest Bejos boy made his debut on the stage recently.
He played Snee in a class production of Peter Pan.
The students floored us with their performance.
He's the one with the striped shirt and the red stocking cap.
