Mama Bejos sent it for my baby shower last year where baby CPC modeled it for us.

I'll have to get my hands on a pic of my infant self sporting this look too :)

Dancing for joy at the grocery store

Plain and simple - I love food. And although I love food there are few occasions when I will dance a jig in the aisle and call my husband with a "guess what?!" moment. Today was one of those days because Easter candy has arrived.


Forget the chocolate bunnies and Peeps, pass on the malted Robin Eggs and jellybeans, hand me over a bag of those Mini Eggs! These candy coated bites of goodness only appear twice a year on grocery shelves - Easter and Christmas - and my Christmastime stash is down to just one bag.

The only other time of year that my husband gets a call like the one I made today is during the month of September when Hatch chiles and the drum roaster makes an appearance at the Farmer's Market store. The intoxicating smell practically plans a menu and we buy a case to take home and freeze for the rest of the year.

What a difference a week makes

Winter has finally arrived! Not sure it will stay long, or that I am completely satisfied with the arrival, but here it is, a good foot or more to shovel and play in.

 

I tried to formally introduce baby bejos and snow last night....

but he was not that interested

other "toys" won out in the end

Dreaming of Summer

On this day of snow (!) it helps to remind me that just a week ago we were enjoying warmth and sunshine in the great outdoors.

I am so ready for summer...

Springtime in February?

The weather has been a mixed bag all winter long here. Nothing like the snowfest we had last year! This weekend it was warm enough to test out a Christmas gift from Nana and Grandpa.
