Camp

We are very lucky folks to have friends with camps.
We are even luckier that these friends learned to share with others.
And even though it was a gray NY day, everyone found a past time.

Even when the rain came

But the sun did make an appearance,

and a few firsts were accomplished.

Home Sweet Home

Our time away was fantastic, and there are still more posts to come on all the fun times we had, but it is in fact very sweet to slip into your own bed at night.

After tackling our jungle of an overgrown yard we ventured out for some fun at the local beer festival.

starting to think baby bejos needs a haircut...looking a little shaggy these days

Vote for Four Corners School...again!

Friends of Four Corners School,

Four Corners School is finalist for the Toyota 100 Cars for Good
Contest.  If we get enough votes, we could win a Toyota Hybrid
Hylander that we desperately need.  Your vote could be the one that
pushes us over the top.

Vote on Facebook  http://apps.facebook.com/carsforgood/

TODAY, Tuesday, August 9th. This is the only day you can vote and
its one vote per person.

It's easy, and could get us a car we desperately need.  If you're
logged into Facebook, you can visit
http://apps.facebook.com/carsforgood/, find CCYC or Four Corners
School, and vote for us.  We will post the link on our page
https://www.facebook.com/FourCornersSchool too.

If you have any questions - feel free to send me an e-mail. Thanks so much!

Letchworth State Park

We took a field trip during our last week home.
Picnic lunch.
Gorgeous gorges.
Amazing waterfalls.

Most importantly, Nana was able to join us on the expedition as her recovery from surgery has been a speedy and successful one.
Doesn't she look great?!

cousins

I took just under a hundred shots trying to capture these four busy bodies all smiling and looking at the camera, at the same time. Very near impossible but there were a few cute shots that does capture the rambunctiousness of this crowd.
And forgive the editing, of which there is none yet. That blue tarp in the background drives me nuts!

summer parade

I heart parades.
mr. bejos endures rather than enjoys them.
I am hoping to teach baby bejos to love them as much as I do.

At mama and papa's we were lucky enough to be there for the small local parade that stages right in front of the house. Oxen, horses, a whole lot of firetrucks, a clown, candy, political candidates, and a steel drum band. That about sums it up.

Cooking Lessons

There was a whole lotta cooking going on at mama and papa's house this summer, and some cooks were more helpful than others.

But we did fit in a lesson on the Ball fudge frosting!
