Traveling with trucks

We went on a family outing today to breathe a little fresh air and get some mileage out of our National Parks pass (thanks Nana and Grampa). While the eldest Bejos boy enjoyed himself, even the hundreds of stairs he climbed on the way down and up, he will report that the best part was the large (dirty) snow pile. It was the perfect spot for his digger.

Birthday Preparations

We are preparing for a BIG birthday celebration here at Casa Bejos. A milestone is being reached.
The oldest Bejos boy was itching to help make a cake but decided that the best part was the cleaning up.

Mission accomplished.

Winter weather, or lack thereof

When there's no snow, icy puddles will have to do.

While we were gone over Christmas our town was dumped on. 17 inches of snow that was, much to the Bejos boys' disappointment, left untouched by them. By the time this weekend rolled around there was barely enough snow left to make a snowball.

Hello 2015

A bit of silence here from Kicken Bejos, although I promise you that it has been everything but silent in Casa Bejos. As we take down the Christmas tree today, and try to find home for our new and exciting belongings it's time to reflect upon the holiday season and sort through the photos that captured our memories. This will be a long one, filled with oodles and oodles of photos.

The boys were thrilled to welcome mama and papa.

Christmas this year was spent out of town, nestled in the middle of the Sonoran desert with mama and papa Bejos and sister and brother-in-law bejos too.

The grandmothers collaborated on creating a Night Before Christmas box for each boy, filled with Christmas books, snacks, hot cocoa, and new pajamas. Once changed they called Nana to share their new delights. Thank goodness for Face Time.

Christmas morning was a new experience for us. The eldest Bejos boy "got" Christmas this year and was very much interested in the present opening, and hoarding....

And while the desert wasn't quite as warm as we might have liked, we fit in a lot of outdoor play.

And we enjoyed some downtime.

New Year's Eve was low key, but filled with balloons.

But New Year's Day was perhaps the best surprise of all. Snow in the desert!

And then back to home where, lucky, lucky us, Santa made a second visit.

Happy New Year from Casa Bejos!
