adult education

A friend and I took a class at the local garden store.
Skulls and succulents.

South of the Border

Mexico.
A week off in October sent us south of the border with some friends.
Resort living, although not our typical style, is amazing.
Beaches, pools, lazy river.
Big waves tossed us around the first few days but we loved every minute of it.
Always hard to head back home.

fall days

When all else fails we pack up the family and head to the woods for some sunshine and fresh air. Day camping at its best where the grown ups get to read, read!, for long stretches at a time. The biggest one even had his first bee sting, without incident. 

upgraded donuts

It was haircut day today. It also means donut day. Today we successfully talked the boys out of a trip to the chain restaurant, instead opting for a local place that is rocking their donut game. It was a wise choice, even in the opinion of a certain 7 year old.
