Harvest

Our mammoth sunflower garden suffered some damage this weekend from a few heavy rainstorms we endured. Then again it was a dense forest of flowers and perhaps their weight alone caused their collapse.

Nevertheless I had to do what essentially amounts to a timber harvest. The job would have been made easier with a machete, but I hacked away with a pair of craft scissors. Silly really.

My arms are still itchy and red with rash, but the bouquets will hopefully bloom beautifully for days. Some for us, some for friends, and a few for our classrooms.
