Blackberries

It's been a few years since we found ourselves in the right place at the right time for blackberries. But this year we timed it just right. And it was a perfect day.

While the grown ups foraged, the boys played in the creek, creating the best ever mud castles. 

You may notice that the cast is not orange, and that - gasp - he is in the water. After a disappointing discovery that orange was not an option, spirits were revived when he found out that glow-in-the-dark was. But better than that news, was the news that a fiberglass cast meant that it was waterproof. Amen and alleluia! 

Getting a picture of the cast's glow-in-the-dark property has been challenging, but my goodness it truly glows!
