Crazy cute, right?
Same great, easy going personality, except with a few new intolerances. Baby Bejos does not like to get in his carseat, but settles down quickly once the car gets going. The same goes for his highchair at the sitter's house. All tears and drama and then pure calm. Diaper changing is nearly impossible, as it requires him to stop moving, and he does not like to do that! He is also now sporting 4 teeth. Two on top, two on the bottom.

With those new chompers we are working on food with more consistency than baby puree, but he is not taking to it quite yet. The faces he gives us when he takes a chunk of banana or a piece of rice is hilarious. Hopefully he'll grow into it soon because, as we learned at his 9 month appointment, he is a little guy; weighing in only at the 1st percentile. We also learned that his goopy eye necessitated a trip to the ophthalmologist (what a weird word to spell!).

This trip had Mr Bejos and I swinging between outrage and humor. We had a doctor with the worst bedside manner who did nothing to settle our nerves upon hearing that his clogged tear duct may require surgery. The doctor used the phrase "put him down" when referring to anesthesia and then quite calmly informed us that the doctor in town who used to do the surgery, and does so no longer, made this decision after he lost a child during the procedure. No worries though, they have a new doctor, just finishing up her residency and she's "really smart".

Nevertheless, we've decided to wait this out a bit longer and will, if necessary, do it when baby Bejos is a bit older.
