Dinner Out(side)

We had a spur of the moment picnic dinner at the county park this weekend. We got all fancy pants with a tablecloth, real plates, even silverware. Caprese sandwiches with tomatoes from our garden, basil from a student's garden, bread from our oven. Yum, yum.

And of course some serious mountain bike training.

This fearless boy has graduated from the bunny slopes and is now trying his wheels on the next level.

Day camping

The weather didn't cooperate this Memorial Day weekend- gray skies, random showers, and very cool temperatures. But after seeing all the campers in the forest we decided that we  needed to take part, for at least a few hours.
And so the tradition of day camping continues, complete with a daytime campfire and marshmallows.

Color Vibe

The eldest Bejos boy and I walked the Color Vibe today.
I thought he would LOVE it, but he was a little "meh" about the whole thing.

Except when we got to the ADOT yard, filled with Mighty Machines.
That put a little zip into his step.

product testing

The youngest Bejos boy got a pair of rain pants to match big brother. After an entire weekend of rain that has us going a bit stir crazy -  hello cabin fever - we suited up and headed into the woods in search of the wettest, muddiest puddles we could find.

Mission accomplished!

baby goats

We have a four day weekend here in our lives (can I get an Amen?!).
Friday we braved the threatening skies and headed out to spend time with baby goats.
Oh my they are cute little creatures, although a bit rambunctious.
1 month olds.

The littlest of our crew had a love/hate relationship with the goats. "baby goats" he called time and time again. But if they got too close....oh hell no. Get these things away from me.  Of course I'm paraphrasing, wink, wink.

This guy, on the other hand, was enthralled with them. Picking them up, running so that they would chase him, throwing their bodies in unimaginably wild ways.

In the woods

The last of our wood collecting expeditions are upon us. Today we accompanied mr Bejos simply to keep him company, leading us to an abundance of nature walks and selfies.
