Christmas Tree Hunting 2015

Early December brought us back out into the woods to find the perfect Christmas tree. Accompanied by our friends the tradition lives on. And the youngest is now donning the little red vest that I will someday have a very hard time letting go of.

Christmas tree hunting

This morning has finally brought the slightest dusting of snow to our neck of the woods. It is in stark contrast to the warm sunny day we enjoyed last weekend on our annual Christmas tree hunt.

This tradition has become one of our favorites. Especially watching our families grow and change. This year was, by far, the easiest, in terms of enjoying ourselves and being present enough to actually have adult conversation. We look forward to the day when we turn the saw over to the kids.

Hello 2012

Another long break for kicken bejos. I had two whole weeks off and blogging just did not make it to the top of my to do list after Christmas. So, here's the recap.

While baby bejos loved opening gifts, and occasionally playing with something new, it took us four days to get through the booty. Mostly delayed by hunger and/or sleep there was a fair amount of "surfing" to be done on those empty boxes, and a number of balloons to ride.

Post x-mas we hightailed it down south for some unseasonably high temps that made this sun lover a happy girl. Sandals in December....heaven.

There will be more to come on our roadtrip adventure in the coming days.
