And then he got it

For Bejos Boy's birthday he received a pedal bike, an upgrade to the balance bike that he has mastered and just about outgrown over the course of the last two years.

We tried bike riding lessons in the grassy area of our yard, and he just couldn't get the pedal thing. We moved on to a dead end street and again the pedal thing stumped him. Not enough momentum, a tendency to back pedal, and a general lack of trust in the entire process as a whole.

And then this weekend, he got it. I chased him up and down a cul-de-sac a few times, mostly there for the push off and to yell reminders of braking when heading for a parked car and other like obstacles.

Hard to believe that was just 4 short days ago.
