5 years

April 5th was our 5th wedding anniversary.
As second time parents we bravely left baby for a quick lunch date.

Mama bejos is visiting, which means gardening and other domestic projects that keep this oldest bejos boy happy and occupied.

Saturday

Was that just too cruel to post a post and not include the final results???

So, to continue the story...
We waited and waited some more. And with the help of some "let's get this baby out" meds, things began to happen. We walked the halls, visited with bejos boy, and walked some more.
Then the hard work began, and I will spare you the details.

At 1:12 am on March 30, 2013 we welcomed bejos BOY #2!
Weight is debatable, but that is another story for another day :)

The whole family is doing well, settling into life at home. Picture taking is happening and I will do a photo dump here soon, I promise.

Friday

Friday morning was an exciting one for us.
My water broke and we headed to the hospital

and waited,

and waited,

and waited,

and waited some more.

Luckily we have two very good friends who are Labor & Delivery nurses, and they were both on that day, and they were assigned to us, so they too got to pass the time with us. Basketball was on the tube and mr. bejos didn't miss one single game he wanted to watch. Syracuse even won. All in all it wasn't the worst way to spend the day, but we were ready for the baby to make an arrival.

editor's note: Mr. bejos has corrected me. Apparently Syracuse played and won on Saturday, not Friday...they all blended together in my mind :)

Please note that there are TWO spoons, not just one. I have had help in the consumption of these treats. Something about my pregnancies has altered my cravings from salty and fatty to the need for sweets.

Preparations

We have been sorting through baby clothes and rearranging rooms getting ready for baby's arrive. Bejos boy has been ever so helpful.

He is however very excited about his sister's arrival. That is not a declaration of this baby's gender, that is just the insistence of an almost 3 year old that he is having a sister. As sister named Sophia to be exact. Although lately he has taken to calling her Ava because of a book we have been reading about bringing home a new baby.
He hugs and kisses my growing belly and often runs to the back of the house to get his flashlight so that he can look at her through my bellybutton. Seriously, it is too cute.
