6 years

This is the best we can do these days, getting both of us in a shot.
Happy anniversary.

Spring

I love springtime. The blooms make me smile. This guy does too, especially as he mimics me taking pictures. Believe it or not I did not make him pose for this impromptu photo shoot. He was perched up on the wall, examining the blooms and calling out to neighbors as they passed by. I just documented the afternoon's activity.

As you can tell, I cannot get enough of this guy these days.
Must be the nostalgia of watching my baby become less of a baby.

mornings

I have been lazy lately when it comes to taking pictures.
My iphone is good, but the dslr...so much better.
These shots were taken at or before 7am, on a school day, amiss the craziness of our morning routine. The light was good and these boys were willing models.
Don't be fooled. Our mornings are not always rainbows and smiles.

1 year old

Today we celebrate the day this guy joined the Bejos clan.

In a matter of just a few weeks he has found his confidence in his own two legs. He is testing those limbs by pulling up to a standing position, clutching to the couch, the cupboards, anything taller than him. He is now sporting 5 big teeth, trying to master the sippy cup, and joining us at the table for most meals.
We love, love, love you, our littlest Bejos boy.

Spring break, part 2

Eventually, I was able to pull Bejos Boy away from the mud puddle of the previous post, and our spring break did take a more traditional route that involved a restaurant and a pool.
Good photos, however, were few and far between as I relied on my phone and selfies.

The best pic of the short trip was of those Bejos boys passed out. We had a bit if a snaffu with our hotel room involving a busted air conditioning unit and a late night move up a few floors, all while these boys dozed. In a scene that resembles that riddle about a farmer moving various predator/prey animals across a river in one piece, we had to relocate the littlest one from his crib to be able to move our belongings upstairs without leaving the kiddos alone. Laying him on the bed, in matching pajamas, they suddenly looked like a very eerie motel room crime scene.
