Today we celebrate the day this guy joined the Bejos clan.
In a matter of just a few weeks he has found his confidence in his own two legs. He is testing those limbs by pulling up to a standing position, clutching to the couch, the cupboards, anything taller than him. He is now sporting 5 big teeth, trying to master the sippy cup, and joining us at the table for most meals.
We love, love, love you, our littlest Bejos boy.

Spring break, part 2
Good photos, however, were few and far between as I relied on my phone and selfies.

Spring break
Some people sit poolside sipping margaritas, while still others dance the night away in itsy-bitsy yellow polka dot bikinis. Not me, on either account. Instead I found myself sitting puddle-side while Bejos Boy and a friend threw dirt clods for almost an hour. No joke.
At least I was able to kick back and catch some rays and, of course, the occasional errant mud splatter. The funny thing about the afternoon was the glimpse it gave me into our future with two active boys. I have to admit I kinda loved it, every single mud and silly poop reference minute of it!
This shot makes my hair look way shinier and healthier than it really is. Isn't that always the way it is when you are considering a haircut? Suddenly you have the best hair day ever.

the hill
Bejos boy loves to accompany me to the Country Store for any and every errand we run there. He gears up with his helmet and bike, anxious to go down the hill. It's not a huge hill, but it still makes me nervous every time.
I have this fear that I will film an adventure ride like this one day that involves a head over handlebars incident. It is bound to happen, whether I film it or not, but please, please not on my watch. His real desire is the other hill, that huge hill to the left. One time, when I was feeling a bit more adventurous, he and I stood atop the hill but then both chickened out. The view from the top was a much steeper angle than both of us had first thought.
